Old chassis numbers can be retrieved from RTA records where the vehicle has been registered in NSW.

The old rego number must be known, and cost is $30.00 to cover the freedom of information enquiry.

Go to www.rta.nsw.gov.au website, navigate through "search" to "freedom of information" and follow the prompts.
